Black Tongue Bar offers a beverage selection that puts an original twist on some of the classic cocktails, while showcasing a range of whiskeys and spirits, as well as a good selection of local beers and wines.

Mixologist Roxanne Read designed an exclusive cocktail menu for The Black Tongue, such as its signature ‘Black Tongue Tiki’ a trio of premium rums mixed with orange and pineapple juice, a dash of grenadine and five spices, topped with a flaming granadilla.

Other cocktails that can only be found at The Black Tongue include a Rooibos Ginfizz, a Blueberry and Lavender Mojito and a Cherry Old Fashioned.

“Later this month, Black Tongue Bar is introducing its house craft pilsner, called Allan, that has been created and supplied by TNT Brewery,” says Giacoppo.

The Black Tongue offers a range of fun, funky bar snacks, such as its signature chilli poppers, chicken wings, ribs and gourmet sliders.

Highlights on the menu also include a selection of burgers, including the  Hot Tongue Burger, consisting of a large beef burger patty stuffed with bacon and jalapeños on a bed of tomatoes topped with mozzarella cheese and smoky mayo. on breast topped with mozzarella.

For the less hungry Black Tongue Bar offers several mouth-watering bruschetta’s, as well as small plates consisting of delicious stuffed olives, cheese balls, parmesan zucchini fries and mushrooms in a blue cheese sauce.

“We’re looking to create a chilled, unpretentious experience, keeping quality of food and drink extremely high. Black Tongue is first and foremost a hangout spot for the neighborhood and surrounds where locals can grab fun, funky bar snacks and delicious  cocktails.”
